Group plans
Health, life and pension cover for your people. A plan that shows you care for them and helps keep good people on the team.
What a group plan can include
We design the plan around the size of your team, your budget and what your employees value most.
Hospital care
Cover for hospital costs for your employees and, if you wish, their families.
Doctors and tests
Doctor visits and diagnostic tests, often through a network of partner centres.
Life and disability
A lump sum for the employee’s family, or for the employee if they can no longer work.
Pension
A retirement savings plan, with contributions from the business and/or the employee.
Your policy, in plain English
Four concepts worth knowing
Annual limit
The maximum amount the plan pays for each insured person within the year.
Example: A limit of €18,500 is common in group plans. A serious hospital stay can exceed it, which is why we also show you options for a higher limit.
Employee co-payment
The percentage or amount the employee pays for each claim.
Example: With a 20% co-payment on a €3,000 bill, the employee pays €600, unless the plan covers it when EOPYY (the national health insurer) pays first.
Family members
Spouses and children can be added, paid for by the business or the employee.
Example: Giving employees the option to add family members makes the plan far more valuable to them.
Renewal and claims
The renewal premium often depends on how many claims were paid in the previous year.
Example: We monitor claims throughout the year, so we can negotiate the renewal with facts.
Wherever you’re starting from
Your company’s first group plan?
We start with three questions:
- How many employees do you have, and what ages?
- What do you want to offer them: health, life, pension or a combination?
- What is the budget per employee?
We bring you quotes from different insurers in one comparison table, and we present the plan to your employees too.
Already have a group plan?
We compare your current plan with the market, based on the claims paid, and tell you whether the renewal is fair.
If you change insurer, we take care of the continuity of your employees’ cover.
Group plan FAQ
How many employees do I need for a group plan?
Most insurers accept group plans from just a few employees. The exact number depends on the insurer and the plan, so we check it for your case.
What happens when an employee leaves?
Their cover ends. They can often continue with a personal plan, and we help them make that transition.
How are employees supported with claims?
Insurers now have easy-to-use online platforms where employees upload their own documents. We are there for them whenever they run into difficulty, and for advice before a medical event, so they know what is covered and what to do, and afterwards, for the claim payment.
