Life insurance

So that your loved ones are not left in a difficult position if something happens to you. We help you work out how much protection your family needs, and for how long.

What life insurance can cover

The core cover is a lump sum for your loved ones. Around it, we add whatever fits your own life.

Life cover

A sum paid to your beneficiaries if something happens to you.

Disability

A lump sum or monthly income if an accident or illness prevents you from working.

Critical illness

A sum paid on diagnosis of a serious illness, to help you stay on your feet financially during treatment.

Loan cover

The balance of a mortgage or business loan doesn’t pass to your family.

Your policy, in plain English

Four concepts, in plain words

Sum insured

The amount your beneficiaries will receive. It is usually calculated based on your income and your family’s obligations.

Example: With an annual income of €30,000 and a €120,000 mortgage, a sum that covers the loan and a few years of income gives your family time to adjust.

Term

The number of years the cover lasts. It usually matches the years your loved ones depend on you.

Example: With children aged 5 and 8, a 20-year cover sees them through to the end of their studies.

Beneficiaries

The people you name to receive the sum insured. You can change them whenever you like.

Example: After a marriage, a divorce or the birth of a child, we check together whether the beneficiaries are still the people you want.

Health declaration

Your answers to the health questionnaire. They must be complete, because the payment of the sum insured depends on them.

Example: An omission in the questionnaire can lead to the claim being refused. We explain each question before you answer.

Wherever you’re starting from

Considering life insurance for the first time?

It’s not a pleasant thought, but it’s one of the most responsible decisions you can make. We start with three questions:

  1. Who depends on you financially?
  2. What obligations are there: loans, children’s education, rent?
  3. How much can you set aside each month without it weighing on you?

Based on this, we show you two or three options for cover and cost, so you can choose with peace of mind.

Already have life insurance?

We check whether the sum insured still fits your life, because needs change: a new home, a child, a loan.

We also look at beneficiaries, term and additional covers, and tell you in writing what we would adjust.

Life insurance FAQ

Isn’t the life insurance from the bank for my loan enough?

It usually covers only the loan balance, payable to the bank. Your family may also need a sum to live on.

Does the premium change over the years?

It depends on the plan. In some it stays the same, in others it rises with age. We show you from the start, for the whole term.

Can I get insured if I have a health issue?

Often yes, with special terms or an additional premium. We look at which insurer handles your case best.
