Specialty risks
Some risks don’t fit into an ordinary policy. We identify them, explain them and find the right cover, however unusual your case.
Risks that deserve a closer look
A few examples. If your risk isn’t here, tell us: there is most likely a solution.
Cyber risks
Attacks, data theft, systems lock-out and the recovery costs that follow.
Directors’ and officers’ liability
For directors and board members, against claims over decisions they made in their role.
Goods in transit
For goods that travel by road, sea or air, in Greece and abroad.
Machinery and electronic equipment
Breakdown of production and construction machinery and of sensitive electronic equipment.
Your policy, in plain English
Four concepts you’ll find in these policies
Sub-limit
A lower limit for a specific cover, within the policy’s overall limit.
Example: A cyber policy with a €500,000 limit may have a €50,000 sub-limit for ransom. We check it before, not after.
Territorial scope
The countries in which the cover applies. Critical for exports, transport and business activity abroad.
Example: If you sell to clients in the USA, your liability cover must apply there too. Many policies exclude the USA.
Exclusions
What is expressly not covered. With specialty risks, these are often more important than the covers.
Example: In a cyber attack, cover may depend on whether your security systems were up to date. We tell you from the start.
Risk questionnaire
Your answers about the risk, on which the insurer relies to cover you.
Example: An inaccurate answer can put the claim payment at risk. We fill in every questionnaire together with you.
Wherever you’re starting from
Not sure whether there is cover for your risk?
We start simply:
- Tell us what you do and what worries you.
- What would it mean for you if it happened?
- Is there a contract or client that requires specific insurance?
We look for the right solution and explain what it covers, including its limits.
Already have specialty cover?
These policies are often the most complex. We read them with you and tell you in writing what applies, what the sub-limits are and what the exclusions are.
If something no longer matches your activity, we adjust it.
Frequently asked questions
Does my small business need cyber cover?
If you hold client data or work with email and online payments, you are exposed. Policies for small businesses are now affordable.
Is directors’ and officers’ liability only for large companies?
No. It concerns every company with managers or a board of directors, because their liability can also be personal.
How quickly can a solution be found for an unusual risk?
It depends on the case. We tell you from the start what we need and how long it will take, so you can meet your deadlines.
