What options are there
Each plan strikes a different balance between risk and potential return. The right choice depends on you, not on the product.
Supplementary pension
Monthly contributions today, for a lump sum or a pension when you stop working.
Savings for your children
A sum for their studies or their first steps in life, with protection if something happens to you.
Protecting your loved ones
Life cover within the same plan, so your savings keep protecting your family.
Investment-linked plans (unit-linked)
Plans linked to investments, with the potential for higher returns but also investment risk.
Your policy, in plain English
Four concepts, before you sign
Investment risk
The value of the plan follows the investments it is linked to: it can go up, and it can also go down. The longer your time horizon, the more time it has to even out.
Example: A market fall shortly before maturity can reduce the amount you receive. That’s why we look at your time horizon together.
Surrender
Ending the plan early. In the first years, the surrender value is usually lower than what you have paid in.
Example: If you stop a plan in its second year, you may get back noticeably less than you paid. That’s why we set an amount you can comfortably keep up.
Lump sum or pension
At maturity, you can usually take the whole amount at once or convert it into a monthly income.
Example: A lump sum gives you flexibility. A pension gives you a steady income, for life or for a set number of years.
Suitability assessment
Before any investment plan, the law requires an assessment of whether it suits you: your knowledge, financial situation, goals and tolerance for risk.
Example: If the assessment shows a plan isn’t right for you, we tell you clearly and propose something more conservative.
Wherever you’re starting from
Thinking about saving for the first time?
We start with three questions:
- What are you saving for: retirement, your children, a future plan?
- In how many years will you need the money?
- How much can you set aside each month without it being a strain?
Based on this, we show you two or three options side by side, with the risk profile and costs of each.
Already have a plan?
We explain exactly what you have: what it is worth today, how it is developing and what to expect at maturity.
If you want to save more, we look at an additional plan alongside the one you already have, without touching it.
Savings FAQ
Can I pause my contributions for a while?
Many plans allow contributions to be paused or reduced temporarily, with consequences for the final amount. We explain them before you decide.
Which plan has the highest return?
The highest potential returns usually come with the highest risk. We never recommend a plan on returns alone, but on what suits you.
What happens if something happens to me before maturity?
Most plans pay your beneficiaries the account value or an insured sum. We check this from the start.
